Staff Accountant I - Lease Funding
Office: Lincoln, NE
The Staff Accountant I (Lease Funding) is responsible for accurately processing payments required to fund leases. This position must have good attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively, be highly organized, able to prioritize, work under pressure and have a good knowledge of accounting principles.
Job Description
Lease Funding
- Follow established procedures for funding payables
- Process wire, ACH and check requests
- Maintain spreadsheets
- Monitor bank balances and outstanding checks
Special Projects
- Perform job tasks assigned as needed for special projects
- Provide supporting documentation for audits
Accounts Payable
- Follow established procedures for processing payables
- Code and input invoices for payment
- Enter and upload invoices into the system
- Prepare and perform check/wire runs
- Produce monthly expense reports
- Maintain spreadsheets
- Process 1099’s
Required Education and Experience
- Three years experience or equivalent combination of education, experience and training in related field
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Exceptional PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite as well as customer applications and systems
- Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, accountability, and attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
