The IT Database Administrator position is responsible for managing and supporting the company’s Data Warehouse, including data integrations with various source systems such as Aspire, LeasePlus, Salesforce.com, and Great Plains, and data reporting via Tableau, SSRS, and Crystal Reports. Key areas of responsibility include data warehouse development, report creation, data quality improvements, database monitoring, and database administration and automation.

Educational and experience requirements include:

  • 3+ years of database administration experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS SQL server administration and development
  • Solid experience with and knowledge of data warehouse and data mart concepts, including Star Schema
  • Microsoft Database Administrator and/or Developer certification
  • Financial Services experience
  • Experience in data analytics, data mining and visualizatio

Skills

  • Extensive experience administrating SQL Server Database in Production
  • Working knowledge of some other database technology like Postgres, MySQL, or MongoDB are desired.
  • Experience building Always On High Availability Clusters
  • Produce reports on demand or via BI Tool
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills required
  • Must be able to improve SQL performance results using query execution plans and other optimization tools
  • Demonstrated proficiency in administering databases in a cloud environment
  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins) & container technologies (Docker, CoreOS) is a plus
  • Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS and Reporting such as (SSRS, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of some other database technology like Postgres, MySQL, or MongoDB are desired
  • Possess a strong understanding of coding concepts (PowerShell, etc)
  • Experience designing overall database stack architectures (server/storage/DMBS)
  • Experience with Database monitoring tools like SolarWinds DPA is a plus
  • Experience in Financial Service industry is a plus

Education/Qualifications:

Technical Requirement:

  • BSc / MSc degree (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or other STEM field) or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience
  • MCSA/MCSE Certification or equivalent
