Employee Spotlight Series

People are the engine of every great business, and our people are core to making our business great.  So, we thought we’d tell you more about some of those people.  Why do they come to work each day?  And what do they look forward to doing when the leave the office?  In our monthly Employee Spotlight series, you’ll get to know the answers for many of them – and more.

This month, we introduce Hanah Hack, one of our Credit Processors, and describe more about her role here at AmurEF and her interests outside of work.

Employee of the Month Interview

Here’s what Hanah had to say:

What do you do here at AmurEF?

As Credit Processor, I support the Credit Underwriting team by entering, updating, researching, and verifying data in various systems. This position requires attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information recorded.

How did you get into that field?

I was hired as a Credit Processor in 2017 and then was given the opportunity to train new colleagues as they came on board, which I always enjoy doing.

What’s the most rewarding thing about your job?

Processing as many applications as I do, and understanding all the nuances of the information I review and enter into the system.

What do you love most about AmurEF?

Being recognized and rewarded for my good work.

What’s the first thing you do when you get off work?

Relax with friends and family.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Travel, mountain bike, golf, and spend time with friends and family.

Where’s your favorite place in the world?

So far, my favorite place is Estes Park in Colorado.  However, that may change come April when my sister and I have the opportunity to travel to our birth country, South Korea.  I’m anticipating it will take precedent over my favorite place.  This is a once in a lifetime trip I get to share with my sister - learning and experiencing my birth country where I was adopted when I was four months old.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Mountain bike in higher elevation in Colorado.

Importance of Company Core Values

Every month, we recognize employees who exceed the day-to-day expectations of their role in the previous month. In evaluating each candidate, we look for employees who embody AmurEF’s core values: commitment, results driven, integrity, teamwork, continuous improvement and fun. Employees are motivated both by the opportunity to achieve this recognition as well as grow alongside co-workers who live our core values every day.

Hanah Hack was chosen as our December Employee of the Month. Hanah encompasses AmurEF’s core values and is an example of commitment and dedication to AmurEF. Hanah displays the value of being results-driven by frequently leading the team in daily completed equipment financing applications. She inspires her fellow Credit Processors by maintaining a positive attitude in all situations.

Hanah assists in training new Credit Processors and is approachable for questions. She is more than a trainer for new employees, but rather a mentor for many of her Credit Processing colleagues. She is always willing to step in where needed and provides feedback on how improve and refine existing processes. Hanah is naturally quiet, but she loves to have fun. When she talks, the team listens, because Hanah is known for the funniest one-liners!
